Abstract
|

|
Recently mindfulness meditation appears to have joined the mainstream of cognitive behavioral therapy. The present paper first explored how the meaning of mindfulness is understood when it is utilized in the cognitive behavioral therapy and clarified it. Then, it was suggested that mindfulness meditation can be practiced in four different types, i.e., breath mindfulness meditation, choiceless-awareness mindfulness meditation, action mindfulness meditation, and monitoring mindfulness meditation. Lastly the present paper discussed the effects of four different mindfulness meditation types in relation with cognitive behavioral therapy and the incremental effects of applying mindfulness meditation to cognitive behavioral therapy.
